TO SPEAK AT PARK HILLS' WOMEN'S DAY
Park Hills Community Church, Reformed Church in America, will celebrate the 23nd Annual Women's Day on Sunday, May 16, 2010, at 11 a. m. The theme is "Women of Faith - With a Hopeful Spirit, a Steady Vision and a Persistent Faith, Pursue God's Plans for Your Life," based on the Holy Scripture, James 2:14-26. Pulpit guest is The Reverend Felicia Renee Bagneris.Rev. Bagneris is the Coordinator of the Southern California Conference Women in Ministry, an organization whose mission is to define, enhance, support and expand the presence of women in ministry in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. She also serves as an associate minister with the New Philadelphia A.M.E. Church in Rancho Dominguez, California. She is employed as a Senior Educational Recruiter with ITT Technical Institute in Sylmar, California.Felicia Bagneris earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Studies from the California State University at Northridge California, and is currently seeking admissions to pursue her Master of Divinity from Payne Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, Ohio.She is the youngest of 6 children born to the late Rev. Dr. Jules S. Bagneris, Jr, and the late Mrs. Annie Bell Bagneris. Saved at the age of 7, Rev. Bagneris always knew there was a calling on her life. She accepted God's call to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in 1997, licensed to preach in 1998, and ordained an Itinerant Elder in the A.M.E. Church in 2003 under the hand of Bishop John R. Bryant. She is the mother of three adult children, Aljovan, 24; Alona, 22; and Alston, 21 and has one grandson, Bryan.The music for this special worship service is under the direction of Dr. Hansonia Caldwell Harriford, noted church musician, choral conductor and author with academic specialties in African American music history.The Reverend Dr. Richard Lamar Horton, Pastor of Park Hills Community Church, Mrs. Mona Anderson, President of the Women's Ministries, and Ms. Anna Gonzales, Women's Day Chairperson, cordially invite the community to this annual Women's Day.
