Collision XII Girls Rosters Announced

City Girls Face 13 D-I Southern Section Recruits at El Camino College

Senior girls representing the Los Angeles City Section will face another monumental challenge when they meet their Southern Section counterparts at the 12th annual Collision high school star basketball game Saturday April 24 at El Camino College in Torrance.

Thirteen of the 15 girls on the Southern roster will be attending four year colleges, led by  two UCLA recruits Rhema Gardner (Chino Hills Ayala) and Santa Monica's Thea Lemberger. The other players confirmed for the Southern squad are: Etiwanta's Jasmin Bernard (University Cal Irvine), Long Beach Poly's Tanitra Byrd (UNLV), Vista Del Lago's  Desirre Jackson (Southern Utah), Santiago's sister duo of Cinnamon Lister (Boise St.) and Jasmine Lister (Vanderbilt), Ayala's Ariel Marsh (University Cal Irvine), Chino Hills' Ericka Norman (Sacret Hart University), Lynwood's Tyonna Outland (Cal State Bakersfield), Summitt's Adrianna Thomas (Arizona State), AB Miller's Chloe Wells (Duke) and Bishop Amat's Arielle Wideman (Nevada -Reno). Two undecided stars fill out the roster in Te'onna Campbell of Colony and Cassandra Miller of AB Miller.

Three girls on the City roster have signed to four year colleges led by Rmanii Haynes (UNLV) of Taft, Destinee Sellers of Chatsworth who will be attending Chapman and Cal State Fullerton signee Jasmine Grayson of Fairfax. The remaining players on the City team are: LA Jordan's Delaura Castanada, Chatsworth's Monica Jackson, Narbonne's TaShawn McGhee, Taft's Amari Hampton, Crenshaw duo of Andrea Edwards and Tierra Robinson, Manual Arts' star Ashley Joseph, LA Wilson's Abigail Vasquez, Taft's Skyy Lewis, Washington's Kiana Furlow, Banning's Stephanie Lopez and Adijat Adams of Westchester.

The Southern girls will be coached by Mel Sims of Chino Hills Ayala and the City girls coach will be Narbonne's Victoria Sanders. The Southern girls lead the series 10 games to 1.

The girls game will begin the high school all star doubleheader at 5 p.m., following by the boys game at 6:30 p.m. For tickets or further information contact (310) 924-7851.
