CHICAGO Returns to the Pantages Theatre
For a limited three week engagement
APRIL 20 - MAY 9, 2010
CHICAGO producers Barry and Fran Weissler are pleased to announce that Grammy Award winner Michelle Williams, formerly of Destiny's Child, will join the Los Angeles engagement of the national tour at the Pantages Theatre as Roxie Hart following her extended Broadway engagement. CHICAGO, the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards(r) including Best Musical Revival which is now celebrating its eleventh year touring the United States, returns to the Pantages Theatre for a strictly limited three week engagement April 20th through May 9th.
"Michelle has proven to be a tremendous asset to CHICAGO, first in London last year and now on Broadway," said producer Barry Weissler. "In addition to being a fantastic performer, she's as delightful and genuine offstage as she is onstage. We're thrilled that she's not only able to extend her Broadway run, but to join our national tour for its third return engagement in Los Angeles."
Joining Michelle Williams in the Los Angeles engagement of CHICAGO will be Terra C. MacLeod as Velma Kelly, Brent Barrett as Billy Flynn, Tom Riis Farrell as Amos Hart and Carol Woods as Matron "Mama" Morton.

Murder. Greed. Corruption. Violence. Exploitation. Adultery. Treachery. Set amidst the razzle-dazzle decadence of the 1920s, CHICAGO is the story of Roxie Hart, a housewife and nightclub dancer who maliciously murders her on-the-side lover after he threatens to walk out on her. Desperate to avoid conviction, she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate, Velma Kelly, by hiring Chicago's slickest criminal lawyer to transform her malicious crime into a barrage of sensational headlines, the likes of which might just as easily be ripped from today's tabloids.
Featuring a book by Fred Ebb and Bob Fosse, music by John Kander and lyrics by Fred Ebb, CHICAGO is the winner of six 1997 Tony Awards(r) including Best Musical Revival and the Grammy Award(r) for Best Musical Cast Recording.
Directed by Walter Bobbie and choreographed by Ann Reinking, CHICAGO features set design by John Lee Beatty, costume design by William Ivey Long, lighting design by Ken Billington and sound design by Scott Lehrer. The production also features orchestrations by Ralph Burns, supervising music direction by Rob Fisher.
Produced by Barry and Fran Weissler, CHICAGO has become a worldwide phenomenon. The London production of CHICAGO continues to hold the record as the longest running American Musical in West End history.
Time Magazine calls CHICAGO "A Triumph," Newsweek raves "Smashing" and Entertainment Weekly has hailed CHICAGO as "Broadway's Most Electrifying Show."
