Melvin E. Triplett passed away peacefully after 48 years of residency in Los Angeles.
He was born in Wakulla, FL and graduated from Shadeville High School. He was an alumni of FAMU, IIT and USC. He worked as an engineer at Hughes Aircraft for more than 30 years. Triplett is survived by his wife, Jacqueline; daughters, Stacey and Nicole; grandsons, Quentin and Jule; stepson, Rev. Calvin Moore; brother, Roscoe; and sister, Mae Williams.
Visitation was held November 2 at Spalding Funeral Home, 3045 S. La Brea, Los Angeles and homegoing services, November 3, 2009, 11:00 a.m. at St. Paul's Presbyterian Church, 5100 Coliseum St, Los Angeles, CA 90016.
