Wright Address or Wrong Zip Code

It is no crime for a state legislator to live outside his or her district however that same legislator could be sued civically or removed from office.

Recently the Los Angeles County district attorney's office searched two homes of State Senator Roderick Wright. The search stemmed from a tip the office received about a year ago as to weather or not the State Senator lives in his elected district.

Wright is State Senator of the 25th district, which runs through the Palos Verdes Peninsula, through parts of Long Beach, Compton, Gardena, Hawthorne, Inglewood and some portions of Los Angeles city and unincorporated areas.

Voter records show in March 2007, Wright registered in Inglewood listing his place of residence at four-plex in Inglewood, in which he owns. Wright won the seat in 2008 against former rep. Mervyn Dymally.

The probe is to whether or not Wright resides in the four-plex in Inglewood or one of two residences he owns outside his district. Wright, 57, had no comment on the investigation until and unless "there is something being brought forth".
