23 years later!

I was released from slavery twenty-three years ago as of September 4, 2009. Never in my elementary school years did I say to myself that I wanted to go to prison and be a slave. In 1986 I was in old Folsom waiting on the Lord to let me go home. I got to admit that I never once thought that I would ever get out from that hellhole. My mind would tell me that God was not listening and I was never going to get out. But then came Ramadan and the night of power which no man knows the exact time or day, but it is within this week or the last ten days of the fast. I prayed to God to please release me from such high levels of poverty and oppression. I used to wake up hearing the sounds of men being killed or fighting instead of hearing the sounds of children walking to and from school.

In that place your mind has to be strong enough to maintain a stable course of movement, because if not you will start hearing voices and then you will have lost the major part of the battle.

I watched many men fall by the wayside because they lacked faith and hope in the god they serve. My brother on Death Row, Cobalt from San Diego, has the ability to help us save the lives of hundreds of young people, with his nonprofit organization called "State Raised Roundation" and his book called "State Raised." His website is www.stateraisedfoundation.com. Or visit www.myspace.com/stateraised.

Mr. Cobalt's methods will help to free young people from their current state. I commend him and brothers like him for having the courage to be undefeated by sticking together in spirit and not just kicking back and wasting their lives away. Fight for your life like you were on the streets. Don't just let the penal system use you like an animal then kill you. Turn to your God right now and beg for forgiveness while you got action. I talked to God last night and he said that he is open for business.

I know people are saying that I write too much about certain things but I love Black people, and poor people in general. And I feel that since God saved my life, I have to encourage my people to stay the course. The system is open for business now and they are on the doorsteps of collapsing before your eyes. Also they are about to release over forty thousand people from the prisons. Now is the chance to get yourself freed from those people. If you jump on this prayer bandwagon now you won't miss the flight.

Trust me I don't care if you are on Death Row on the Pelican Bay, the gates of heaven are open to free you. I know what it is like waking up in those horrible corridors of failure everyday. It is not good to think that you have been defeated and your chances of getting your life back are cut in half. Stand up Blackman and woman-- -it is your day to be whomever and whatever you want to be.

I want to let the people who read this article know that I serve the poor and there is know way that I will stop bangin' on the e-system until they come up with a better way of handling their citizens. When you read a letter from the people on Death Row who talk about saving the lives of others who they have never met with very little regard for their own lives, it makes you appreciate what it is that God has given you. I want to tear down Death Row and make some of those people teachers of children.

If you ever want to see how some of our people became criminal-minded then watch the movie American Violet where you will see that an over zealous judge from Melody, Texas was locking up all the poor Blacks who he said was not worthy of being treated like a human being. So he used the word of a fake informant to lie on a whole town of people, only to find out that the police and district attorney was wrongfully convicting people.

This is based on a true story. Most of our people who are in jail today was not convicted by a jury, because we as poor people believe in saving the courts money, so we plea bargain our way into felonies situations. Then they came up with the three strikes law, which will make you think that we have a community of habitual offenders who prey on the hood. Wrong!

If you knew back then that the plea bargain that you took in order to get home to your children after being accused of having dope on you was going to be the sinking rock of your freedom later on, you would have never taken that deal.

People should be able to have their three strikes cases overturned because no one told them that their plea would get them all day in the prison. Not to mention the fact that some of our people use too many of those roll-over minutes to tell on others. Stop rollin' over on your homies. Get another plan if you can't stand on your own to stop doing crime.

When I was doing what they call crime, I knew what time it carried and the bail amount. I just wanted to be free from all the madness I see everyday. I had a brother say that things are not all that bad in the poor Black and Brown family. Well, until all of us are free from many of the ungodly things we are forced to face everyday, then I won't stop writing what I think is the real.

I don't have a comfort zone when it comes to revealing what I've seen and been through myself. It would be easy for me to not care but I work for the brothers and sisters who don't have a voice, like Uno, Big Time Barry Cobalt and the dead homies, along with their children. People who are in high places never question my movement but they don't go out of their way to reach for you either.

Believe me if I slip, none of these infamous house mouse would take a phone call from. But I could care less because my faith is in God and I work for the poor. What up P da Pimp. Reno get at me homie, I want to try and help you again.
