Hello world, I have some personal news to share with you all! So please give yourself a moment to read my words as many of you are the reason for my good fortune. On July 2, 2008, I submitted my first article for publication with the "Los Angeles Sentinel News Paper". My dream of becoming a writer came true in 2004 after the publication of my first book, "Noesis (the power of applied thought)." With the help of my manager and best friend Oliver Baines, I have been writing and speaking professionally ever since. "Orlando Pace" is the first person to receive an autographed copy of Noesis. He was the delivery driver that dropped off the first two thousand copies of my book. A few days after that, I had my first book signing on the campus of Fresno State University, at the Alumni House. It was a celebration that felt so surreal that I wish the euphoria could be bottled up and given to all my reader.I enjoy reading and expressing my opinions, so naturally, I have always wanted my own column. I am blessed to offer positive inspiration to all that will listen to me speak and or read my work. The "L.A. Sentinel Newspaper" and you the readers have given me a major platform to accomplish my desire to inspire every person on this planet. I have a lifetime of work ahead of me yet each publication of this column allows this astronomical purpose to be achieved. I remember the day Danny J. Bakewell Jr. asked me what I would like the title of my column to be; for me that was another dreamlike moment. That was one year ago and "Noetic to the Third Power" has dawned a weekly dose of inspiration for all to read. A Noetic person is one who is stimulated by intellectual activities. The "Third Power" represents what I have been taught as the three priorities of life. The first is our "Higher Power," that being whatever you wish to label the authority within your life. The second is "Family." I have cherished love ones that are not my biological siblings yet the definition of family (for me) starts with them. The last priority is "Purpose." I truly believe that I am living my purpose. I wake up daily with this drive and you all the readers allow me to pursue my purpose. I lost autonomy after writing "Noesis", which was overwhelming for years. When people you do not know introduce themselves with an excerpt from your autobiography, intimidation for me was an understatement. However, I have found power in this form of expression, the power to influence and inspire people of all different races, gender and creed. So, I thank you for allowing me to inspire you and hope that you continue to read my work. Thank you Christine Martin, whom I submit my articles to weekly, I think you have a very engaging soul. Monique Frasier, for encouraging me to write and giving me my first journal (it was July 20, 1995). Thank you to the readers who submit responses via my web site. I know that is a secure way of expressing your opinions free from public view. To all my family, friends and love-ones, I know I am a weird person so thank you for putting up with me. To you the reader, I hope to improve as a writer so that I my articulate my opinions in a fashion that offers you an enthusiastic approach to becoming a better person (as I am trying be). And lastly, to ever person who may suffer from not knowing one or both of their biological parents. Or who my be a recovering addict or in need of a help currently. Those fighting financial despair, relationship issues, foster care placements, and every day issues. Fear not the negative of life as we have the power to evoke positive energy, which is always the first step to achievement.
