Sandra Evers-Manly, BHERC President to Host Mother's Day Luncheon

Sandra Evers-Manly, President, Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center ("BHERC") and the BHERC Family will host their 5th Annual Mother's Day Luncheon on Sunday, May 10, 2009.  The BHERC Mother's Day Luncheon supports women who have lost children to violence, Women with Children or Spouses Away in the Military and Women In Recovery.   One of BHERC's many visions is to provide hope. This is a free event to these women and families. The luncheon will take place Sunday, May 10, 3 p.m. at Rancho Cienega Sports Complex, 5001 Rodeo Road, Los Angeles, CA 90016.

For the past four years, event host Sandra Evers-Manly, Founder of BHERC has chosen to share a loving day by gifting women and showering them with love and attention on Mother's Day.  This is an important program for BHERC.  BHERC creates and executes projects that highlight both the impact and potential resolutions to the domestic and gang violence epidemic in the county of Los Angeles and beyond. One of the BHERC projects "Possibilities Though the Arts" fosters change and creativity by actively engaging youth in the arts, specifically filmmaking.

BHERC takes a position as an active leader in providing youth activities that help to focus and unleash creative energy into constructive projects and hopefully change the world, one person at a time.  The Black Hollywood Education and Resource Center (BHERC) is a nonprofit, public benefit organization designed to advocate, educate, research, develop, and preserve the history and future of Blacks in film and television.  Reservations required by calling (323) 957-4747.
