Due to popular demand "Bonita & Billie", a cabaret show based on the life of Billie Holiday is being extended to April 25, 2009. This popular show presented by Charles S. Dutton in association with Vintage Hollywood is performed by award-winning actress Bonita Brisker and hosted by celebrity friends. All performances are held at Vintage Hollywood Private Club located at 4000 W. Washington Blvd. (at 10th Ave.), Los Angeles, CA. There are two final performances scheduled one for Sunday, April 19 at 5:00 pm and Saturday, April 25 at 8:00 pm.

The idea for this show was conceived when Ms. Brisker received high praise for her cameo performance as Billie Holiday in the production of North on South Central. "Uncanny" the LA Times reported on her performance. As written and performed by Ms. Brisker, this ode to Billie is based on Lady Day's public and private lives. In this 90-minute show, Ms. Brisker re-creates the age of jazz, "You've Changed", "Strange Fruit", "The Man I Love" and the now legendary "God Bless The Child".

"Bonita & Billie" is directed by Denise Yvonne Dowse. She is a three-time winner of the Best Director Award. These awards include Dramalogue and NAACP. Her most recent being Malcolm Jamal -Warner's one man show Love & Other Social Issues.

Musical direction by T.C. Campbell. Mr. Campbell has composed and conducted for such artists as Peabo Bryson, Jeffery Osborne, Cameo, and Della Reese.

Each Saturday night performance will be introduced by a different celebrity including Della Reese, Martin Landau, Mike Rydell, Kellita Smith and Charles S. Dutton who will also host the reception immediately following the performance.
