Hello world, in most cases the title to this article tells the whole picture. I'll explain using myself as an example; I woke up last Wednesday with only my left eye open thinking to myself, if I open my right eye then I'll allow the comfort of sleep to leave and thus my day will start. Well, I tapped the snooze icon on my phone and gave myself the shortest ten minutes in hope to slip back into my dreams; 5 a.m. flashed across my phone accompanied by an annoying tone. I can not be late to work is what motivates me to get out of bed, that and the fowl breath of my dog, "Muse", letting me know that it's time for him to be let out for a restroom break. While I gather my thoughts and recall my dreams, I tell myself that it would be nice to just lie back down and not deal with my labor- intensive schedule for the day. No mundane morning rituals while preparing for work, no fighting Bay-Area traffic, and no concrete office with out windows.

All minor issues, right? Well, for those of you that struggle with psychosocial stress or those who need a break from society, it can be easy to slither into a cocoon and not share your energy with the world. However, by doing so, you create no growth in regards to social advancement; not pertaining to popularity, but more for the progression of life and the opportunities you can create for yourself. Who knows, that next person you engage in a causal conversation with, may lead you in the direction of greater opportunities!

So, "Stop Hiding", allow yourself to maneuver through the day with the idea that growth is immanent. I say this because I've been victim of on occasion, a social loafer; I believe we all have. It only takes one lack of a smile to miss out on opportunities. It only takes one thought of avoidance to lose what could have been the break you've been working for. It only takes a single malice thought to keep you in bed and sleep past the positive future that awaits you during your labored day.

Please give yourself the opportunity to pursue your life goals with no excuses. Do not be afraid to chase your aspirations, failure is a possibility yet it should not be a reason to stand behind your everyday problems and not attain your truest desires. Stop hiding amidst your fears of actually acquiring your version of success. The quote below I take from a person I admire greatly. I wish I could have had conversations with him as I agree with a majority of his philosophies. He obtained what I believe is the beauty of human life, what I strive to obtain. He was a husband, a father, a scholar, an athlete and most notably an activist. After reading about persons like Arthur Ashe, who never hid from anything, I promised myself that I would not hide from life and my pursuit of it! I encourage you all to do the same!

"Success is a journey not a destination. The doing is usually more important than the outcome, (Arthur Ashe)".
