Who is this man with a vision and why should he care for us at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to eradicating Gang Violence from the many different Community’s that have suffered from this insidious disease called Urban Warfare.
Often times when we think of city officials the first thing that come to our mind as brothers from the street is a person who could care less about the pain we feel inside or inflict on each other. O r to make it even clearer to us the pain we place or others because of our own personal beliefs. Well I found something different in this city officials action and desires to make a case for us from the streets and the Victims of these violent acts more redeemable in the eyes of those that feel we are helping to destroy the moral fabrics of America.
But with this well respected Hispanic urban professional we are at a advantage because this councilman believes in redeeming human beings who are worth saving from further destruction and victimization, one thing for certain concerning this councilman he has a open door policy when it comes to getting you the needed help whether it be a single effort or a collective efforts at helping human beings who have been marginalized and placed on the back burner of time.
I have watch this man go hard on issues that his colleagues may not understand when it comes to dealing with the now and not holding the past against the people of GOD.
W e can learn a lot about these unmentioned here who deal with the same threats that we have everyday, How does he balance the scales of justice so precisely that it is almost impossible to think that you can be fair to all races and maintain your dignity at the same time>
I want for the people of California to support this councilman in his efforts towards painting a better picture for the city of Los Angeles when it comes to public safety fairness and racial equality in regards to the separation of religion and state.
This is the type of leadership that we have been missing in high places. A person that can reflect back on their own life and still have enough love and admiration for their job, community and the people that elected him for the position and the great job that he does at listening to the TAX payer first concerning the many issues that they face. Then he has this incredible energy when it comes to helping bridging the gap of different economically diverse places and spaces.
Tony as we enter into this new plan to make GANG intervention AND PREVENTION a part of public safety, we here in the community will do our part to support your work and to make a better day for the many diverse residents of our fine city, and with your influence and beliefs in our efforts hopefully we will find some parody in this whole equation called Justice for all. In my humble thoughts I feel that somewhere along the line of your struggle you were touched by an angel and told what to do in regards to helping people out of the trail of violence that they have blazed into the hearts of the children.
Your style of leadership will not only take us to the next generation of leadership but it will help to bridge the gap of racial in balance and stereotypical thoughts of poor people who most said were not redeemable or trust worthy to change and do the right thing. We have seen the efforts of this man from a hood stand point when it comes to us dong our part, and the allowance of you to participate in local government and do what you do best and that is to bridge the gap of ignorance from all of us with your many talents and the sacrifices that you make everyday for your own family as well but not excluded your new found family of Life savers. The intervention and prevention public safety family that really support your dream and the hopes of this city to make a way for the next Hispanic or black youth who has a mind like yours and wan to use it for the sake of others. How many poor victims have lost their lives for nothing, which could of have been the next councilperson to help keep the balance between the haves and the have knots.
Tony Cardenas you are heaven sent to make our lives and the city a better place threw your hard work and dedication. So when you see a drop in gang violence and a new style of young crispy open door leadership you can give a great sum of credit to a man who is fighting for all sides and being fair in the middle. In other words you don’t see this type of person everyday, and if it weren’t for the Los Angeles Sentinel you would not see it at all. Tony you are our hero.
