Attorney Thanayi Lindsey, Attorney Renee Sanders and Community Reginald Brass will discuss family law on Saturday, February 21, at 11 a.m., at the Mesereau-Ephriam-Villaraigosa (MEV) Free Legal Clinic, announced Rev. Joseph C. Nixon, executive director.
The clinic is located in the Brookins Community Development Center, 1900 West 48th Street in Los Angeles. For information or appointments, call (323) 296-0187 or visit www.mevfreelegalclinic.com.
"We encourage the public to attend this free session and hear our speakers give insight on the point of view of each parent in a custody dispute as well as pointers you can use in court," said Rev. Nixon. "Among the questions our expert panel members will answers are the difference between legal custody and physical custody, the Standard used by the Court to create a parenting plan, and how to modify custody and support."
Attorney Lindsey specializes in two areas: family law including dissolution of marriage, annulments, and paternity, and civil litigation covering personal injury, breach of contract, and premises liability. She has also provided translation services (Spanish/English) for a major corporate banking institution.
Lindsay serves on the Board of Directors of the MEV Legal Clinic, on the Editorial Board of the Los Angeles County Bar Association Magazine, and on the Diversity Committee of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.
