Son of Rap legend Eazy-E shares thoughts about the election of President Obama

Lil Eazy-E, the son of legendary rap icon Eazy-E, caught up with the Sentinel Newspaper at our office a few days after Barack Obama was elected President of the United States.  Lil Eazy shared his thoughts on the election and what it means for the city of Compton.

Sentinel: So Lil Eazy, tell me how you feel about the election of President Barack Obama

Lil Eazy-E: “We need a change.  Everybody knows where I from, where I come from, you know a lot of n***** have kids, you got insurance, you got gas, you got just a whole economic problem and the way to going about it is not about to work by War or by certain people and aspects think that there’s not a middle class.  You have certain people up there that think we don’t exist.

Sentinel: Tell me about your up and coming album and what your fans can expect?

Lil Eazy-E: The album will be out this first quarter, it’s titled “Prince of Compton” right now but you know we have different changes here and there.  I’m working on it still.  I’m in the process of recording with Ice Cube and MC Ren and doing something special for people which is a little surprise, so I will out this first quarter.

Sentinel: What about mixtapes, we here at the Sentinel keep our ear to the streets?

Lil Eazy-E: I’ve decided that mixtapes is like the average thing.  I just feel like me my angle and what I’m shooting for, like mixtapes wasn’t me.  But all through the internet you can find music on Lil Eazy.  I’m always giving out something.  Mixtape is not my thing.

Sentinel: So tell me, what do you have going on outside of the music business?

Lil Eazy-E: I’ve got merchandise coming out through Ruthless Records that I’m putting together with my stepmother with just exclusive Eazy E pictures of myself with my father.  So that’s coming soon.  Matter of fact we just had a NWA legacy special on VH1 we put together.  I got a lot of thing coming up so I’m just getting ready to hit em’ with it, definitely in the music and cartoons and everything.  I’m just keeping the legacy alive by all possible ways.
