Dear Mr. Santa my name is Malik and all I want for Christmas is a Black president so that my children can see that anything is possible through faith. What my mama would say and recommend as a recipe for success in this life is that we all love much, and hopefully we will be able to grow in wisdom from our faith. The same faith that Brother President Obama used to defeat what we was taught was undefeatable in the past, we need to use likewise--our faith in the Lord to allow brothers to rise up the food chain and represent the right thing to do and believe in. During these next few moments in time we will be faced with every challenge in the rebuilding process of our global image.
Today is a great day to start your image make over. Most people have been walking around with so much pain in their lives that you very seldom see them with a smile of greatness on their faces. You can get more bees with honey, than you can with cramp.
So take that mad dog look off of your face so you won't allow people to know what is on your mind.
One thing that I love about this new man in the White House in my life time is amazing to say the least. It gives me some comfort knowing that not just any man is in the White House, but a brother who knows the sentiment of the people. Not just in terms of race and power, but in an organic sense of thinking.
Another reason all I want for Christmas is a Blackman is because we have seen so many of our other Black leaders who have tried in the past to pretend that they are with us. But you find out that on the scale of life you do not weigh in at the high places or even low places of life because you are a docile being just waiting on your savior to arrive. Forget that mystery man because he isn't coming out. Your faith and the teachings of your ancestors is what is going to get you out of this self-inflicted poverty state of mind that we are currently in. Other than wanting a brother to be president I would like to have a chance to see his wife not only become the first Black first lady, but maybe the first Black female president of the most powerful country on earth. After all, everyone needs the human touch of a woman--especially as a healer!
If you have never prepared beans and franks as a meal, then you should find out how to do such a thing because until the sun comes out again in the financial market things will get a little thin along the way. You should start acting presidential now by getting the basics in your crib now. Things may continue to be the same.
You have to be willing to sacrifice something in order to get the results you want. Having a Black president is not easy. We will be getting a report card on this brother according to responses about him. Sometimes you have to take the bitter with the sweet. I just want to do my part in this whole equation; it is my moral duty to help further the human race for the betterment of my children.
You know I was just sitting here thinking how hard it is to be a reporter to the people. As a reporter you cannot predict the level of responses because writing can be a thinking process very private in nature.
But you do have those moments when you start realizing that you are unfolding your world and life to the masses, both good and bad. But hopefully these words of inspiration will reach one person who can relate to what I am basically saying to myself. That is why I am happy to have a Black president on our team, so he can remind others before him how things can be done. It is called absolute honesty and dedication to a global position.
