Joe Lieberman’s handholding of McCain during McCain’s “off” moments has marked him as a ridiculous man. He lied about Senator Barack Obama’s willingness to work with others and misconstrued a speech by George Washington. History will forget him.

Joe Lieberman

Fred Thompson was a failure as a Presidential hopeful. He said that Barack Obama is historical because he is the least experienced candidate to run for the office. Is this a time thing? Because George Bush aka The Great American Disaster had only been the Governor of Texas for five years. Damn if only Fred’s writers could run as him. TV History will remember him.

Fred Thompson

These were just a couple of “hot” moments in a convention that has tried desperately to make America forget that George Bush is the head of their party.

You are a different matter Ms. Palin.

Ms. Palin

Judging from your delivery and jokes you’d make a decent hack comic. President? Helllll Noooo! Clown? Yes. A good Alaskan clown.

Talk about trying to turn one speech into a campaign. You deliver better than McCain but that ain’t sayin’ much because he’s a doddering 72 year old man who has memory issues and flipflopia. Moreover, trying to bypass year-long campaign scrutiny and talk big late in the game, is, well, chicken-shit, but we are talking about the Republicans.

You’re like the third string quarterback with no skills, who’s on a tailback dependent team and who comes in late in the 4th quarter to just hand the ball off. And then you start talking mess. Dissing Chicago and the State of Illinois for…Wasilla, Alaska?

The Democrats are gonna be timid as usual…but I don’t have to.

One point…this whole week I’ve heard tell of change. First that’s an infringement on Obama’s common sense direction. Secondly…change from what? For the first 6 years in the 2000’s the Republicans ran it all. Straight into the Ground. We are living the Bush Economy; During the Bush Wars; Paying Bush Gas prices; Dishonoring Vets with Bush policies; Under Bush surveillance and experiencing the Bush diminishing of America.

All of this is due to Republican failure.

So your argument is to change from the Republican way of doing things to the Republican way of doing things. Hmmm okay…but…

If anyone is hurting economically, the Bush economy was in full effect.

If anyone is on a no fly list, the Bush surveillance was watching.

If anyone lost a limb or loved one in Iraq or Afghanistan, the Bush wars are raging.

You, madam, may revel in a selective memory…this nation can no longer afford to.

You Lying Rat Bastard

Most of your squeaky sniping was trying to tear down Obama’s work/accomplishment record. I know he didn’t win any big time Miss Walrus Mane like you but an Ivy League grad that devotes himself to lifting up great communities and restoring jobs back to depressed communities ain’t seal chowder. Somebody wrote the lines for you to claim that being a mayor of Wasilla, a small but, I’m sure, beautiful town in Alaska, is comparable to helping transform neighborhoods in the 1 million Black-strong area of Chicago. And I know you giggled to yourself when you read the lines delineating how little Senator Obama has done in the ‘executive’ area compared to your titles of mayor AND governor. Hmmm…here’s a brief summary of the Senator’s service…

During the first eight years of Senator Obama’s elected service he sponsored over 820 bills. He introduced:

233 regarding healthcare reform, 125 on poverty and public assistance, 112 crime fighting bills, 97 economic bills, 60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills, 21 ethics reform bills, 15 gun control, 6 veterans affairs

His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These included: - the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 (became law), - The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, (became law), - The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate, - The 2007 Government Ethics Bill, (became law), - The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, (In committee)

3 of these bills became law. Not just for Tweedle Dee county of western Alaska but for all 300 million of us. One he co-sponsored with…wait for it…JOHN MCCAIN…your running partner. This is in direct opposition to the early lie that Senator Obama doesn’t reach across the isle. Did you even read the pamphlet? Maybe you did it on purpose to seem more folksy…you know home schooled and all.

…or maybe you should’ve invested in the internet up there near the Klondike. ‘Betcha the Canadians have it.

And since we’re on McCain…can you name the other candidate who has never held an “executive” position? Yep, that’s right John S. McCain. Ask him…Go ahead and wake him from his nap…I’ll wait.

You probably also know that the last lest-qualified governor who strolled through the oval office has become an international joke, destroyed an economy in surplus, started two wars on myths and has waged them incompetently. That man is George W. Bush. A man so radioactive y’all didn’t even want him showing up at your shindig.

Actually I do kinda see your resemblance to him. He masked his inexperience with attacks too.

Screwing

Somebody said that your daughter’s pregnancy is off the table. Not for me. In 2004, the Republicans were trying to pass hateful legislation across the nation to scapegoat gays to energize the “religious right”. It’s not my business which consenting adults sleep with which. But most of it was about keeping gays from having the same rights of visitation and property claims as heterosexuals. I’m a Black straight man who knows the “religious” justification of such laws and how they are a short step from them to me.

The Republicans have been against sex education, condom distribution, aids help legislation, etc, etc, etc,

In fact, No one…NO ONE has tried to legislate what individuals do in their bedrooms more than defenders of Republican Hypocrisy. From Reagan’s inane reluctance to acknowledge the first rumblings of AIDS to the backward-ass pro-life/pro-death rants of John McCain supporter pastor John Hagee, this simplistic and ignorant world view that has put millions in jeopardy.

As for the “she’s like the rest of us” crap, it’s crap! Not like any family I know. I don’t know a family who’s 17 year old was pregnant. In California the legal age for sexual consent is 18. Yep when I lost my virginity, I broke the law (or was a victim…she was a tad older), but I also wore a condom…sos I wasn’t a father while studying my AP homework or playing football games. Most teenagers, if given the chance, take precautions. Yours didn’t.

Yeah your daughter’s pregnancy is in play.

It’s not a legal question. From what I gather, 16 is the legal age of sexual consent in Alaska, with no more than 3 years separating the two in the act.

The question is; Did you know? Did you know that your daughter was having unprotected sex before she was married? Oh yeah, that’s right…

…abstinence only…

I don’t care when you tell your kids they can start screwing. THAT’S none of my business. What is my business is that you would prevent other families from having the option of educating and equipping their kids past a 17 year old-unwed pregnancy. This is especially dangerous to African Americans because of the significant AIDS/HIV numbers on the rise.

You’re not a family, you’re a lab experiment. One which proves once and for all that the “do as we say” bullshit-ass cult Republican model for “abstinence only” crap doesn’t work. Young adults get horny. Yours did and no amount of praying or group therapy intervened between her legs. She gave it up and got pregnant. But some families don’t want that for their kids. Other families can’t afford a pregnancy and so would opt for a way to avoid that scenario. Also some families don’t have the insurance to cover a 17 year old aids patient and so….you get the point.

I’m being crass because the whole hypocrisy of the Republican “moral” ground is so Nazi-ish it is grotesque. All hearts and minds are free to be trampled until one of their own is seen as human as the rest of us and then they are somehow a part of the new republican thread and not a horny lil’ ho who should just keep her legs closed and practice abstinence. It’s like how prevalent the calloused stem cell position against “killing babies for parts” was until it was clear that Ronald Reagan forgot everybody around him with a touch of Alzheimer’s and suddenly there was Nancy…championing the cause.

You Betta Hope

Your son is going to Iraq. Thank God Rumsfeld was tossed before your kid might get one of the non-armored “armored” HumVees. At least, after billions of dollars, Bush has made sure that our soldiers have the equipment they need….hasn’t he? Hasn’t he?

Okay, well, make sure you tell your son to stay away from the showers. As of July 30th, General Patreous revealed that 16 soldiers have been electrocuted in the showers of no-bid contractor and Bush fav KBR.

Hopefully he’ll make it through whole but if tragedy should strike, make sure all of the paperwork is ready or he will not get his full pay as reported on 60 Minutes.

Start looking through the papers now to find a good psychiatrist. This war has seen the largest uptick in veteran depression AND suicide in three generations.

You better hope Senator Obama gets in there fast enough to bring him home before another 6 rounds of Bush tour of duties (Bush roulette)…but hey even when he returns he’ll be eligible for greater veteran educational benefits due to the Webb/Hagel bill that Senator Obama supported and voted for……and McCain fought against.

And should he get captured rest assured that the Bush new torture doctrine will have no bearing in his treatment. Neither will the confirmed torture at Abu Ghraib or at Guantanamo. Besides, McCain voted against legislation that condemned torture.

Yes America’s most famous POW is down for torture. Would that be considered a trait of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder?

In other words, as long as the Bush/Cheney/McCain “support the troops” model is in effect, your son’s life is in peril. Much like the soldiers of mothers all over America.

So I commend you on your witty, quick, homey and down to earth mischaracterizations and lie strewn presentation. Would that all Republicans, after having creating this mess we are all in, could have the skillset to completely ignore the last eight years and act as if a mysterious cloud showed up, out of nowhere, and dropped old-school Washington politics on us.

You kept pointing to some old way of doing things but…show me a Washington “way” of the last 30 years or so that didn’t include McCain. You can’t. Just like you can’t make the Governorship of Alaska or Mayoral term of, where ever it was, uh Wasilla, comparable to the hard work of Barack Obama in Chicago. Make no mistake, Ms. Palin, despite your snippets, the only real joke around these parts…is you.
