Hello world, I have many thoughts I’d like to share with all of you this week. Hopefully, you will read this article with an open mind, as oppose to shielding yourselves from reality. The real world is here and we live in it! So please don’t hide from yourself as many of us do. Yet understand that self preservation doesn’t have to come from selfish expense nor the submitting of one’s most positive morals.
The ordeal: I’ve been given the opportunity to help others possibly more then the average person. I believe that is because my thoughts attract the type of energy that leads me into situations where I can express my need to help people. Yet, my desire comes in the form of co-dependency and possibly addiction. So, is this a “Good” thing or am I foolish for believing that I can bring inspiration to every living person on earth.
I recently discovered a truly powerful statement made by a person I may never meet face to face yet her words bring me the type of energy that wakes me up in the morning. “As I live my life, if I can help someone along the way, then my living, will not have been in vain.” Simply stated yet extremely powerful to implement!
The following is a poem that I wrote while in conflict with myself; know these words have helped me understand myself. I offer them to you with the same intent.
My addiction, an affliction that I’ve brought upon myself Afraid to submit to my addiction, I allow confliction to dwell in a seemly shallow well Only to drink when appropriately weak To many or not enough kisses I seek Do you love me? A continued grief I’d rather be loved then deceived Yet I’m dead knowing that my addiction is life’s treat I’m hiding from love, not willing to submit So the older I get lessons the chance of fulfillment I wake only because the natural periodic suspension of consciousness has passed Then I can’t help but to remember her laugh If I take a hit, then irrationality becomes an unwanted gift Wrapped in vulnerability that I can’t dispense So I clothe her with false moments of fulfillment A synthetic mutual one sided relationship I can’t go on like this
Question: I encourage you to ask yourself the type of questions that provoke “POSITIVE CHANGE” in your character and those around you. So, what is your addiction?
