NBA basketball star Grant Hill will be featured on an all-new episode of "Oprah's Master Class" this Sunday, April 1 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on OWN: Oprah Winfrey Network.
Strong values instilled by his parents and lessons learned on and off the court enabled Grant Hill to become one of the best all-around players in the NBA, which is why when things got tough, he found ways to grow as a person and stay in the game. From his time in the NCAA at Duke to his long NBA career, Grant has always played, and lived, with respect for people and the game of basketball. Despite many challenges, including a debilitating ankle injury, four surgeries and a life-–threatening infection, Grant pushed himself to grow, to learn, and to become better as a player and as a person. He came to believe that our wounds make us part of who we are. At age 39, he remains one of the most respected players in the game.
