IMPORTANT MESSAGE: CONSTRUCTION AT LA SENTINEL OFFICE: Due to unforeseen construction work, our office is temporarily closed. We are operating business off site and still accepting ads and classified ads. View Company Directory.
Recently I have received several telephone calls and emails asking whether or not the Taste of Soul is still set to take place since the recent sale of the radio station V100. I am here to assure you that the Taste of Soul is indeed going to take place and it is set to happen on Saturday, October 18, 2008.
As the Los Angeles Sentinel celebrates its 75th year anniversary, it remains our goal to be the voice of the community and to celebrate that community. October 18th marks the day that we will once again come together to enjoy wonderful entertainment and remarkable food in a peaceful atmosphere as one big family.
We are currently talking with several media outlets that are interested in joining forces with us to make this year’s Taste of Soul the extraordinary event that we know it to be. So again I want to assure the 100,000 plus attendees from last year’s Taste of Soul and those of you that will attend this year, that we haven’t left and we aren’t going anywhere.
I encourage you to check the paper as well as our website www.lasentinel.net for continuous updates on the status of the Taste of Soul. I will be looking for each and every one of you on Saturday, October 18, 2008 as our community will once again speak for itself, celebrate itself and enjoy a TASTE OF SOUL.
However, always remember, I need to hear from you now more than ever. I need to know what is going on in our community. I also need to know what other stories we need to tell, and what is on your mind. I really do want to hear from you, I want you to “Talk to Danny.”
Sincerely, Danny J. Bakewell, Jr. President & Executive Editor www.lasentinel.net
