Councilwoman Perry Reinstates $75,000 Reward for information in Murder of two young men in south los angeles:

Three-Years Later Police Still Seek Public’s Help in Finding the Person(s) Responsible for Murder Clifton Hibbert Jr. and Kenneth Patterson

Los Angeles— Councilwoman Jan Perry will join Southwest Division detectives and the families of Clifton Hibbert Jr. and Kenneth Patterson to reinstate a $75,000 reward by the City of Los Angeles for information leading to the identification and apprehension of the person or persons responsible for the murder of their sons. Three years later, the family and the detectives are still seeking the public’s help in solving this senseless crime.

On Friday, March 28, 2008, shortly before 2 a.m., Clifton Hibbert Jr. (age 22) and Kenneth Patterson (age 23) were found dead on the 4200 block of Figueroa Street in South Los Angeles. According to police, the Hibbert and Patterson were returning from a party in Northridge and had stopped to drop off a friend at an apartment building on Figueroa.

Hibbert, an aspiring lawyer, was a few weeks away from earning his college degree at Cal State Northridge. Patterson was a musician who was pursing a successful career in music.
