Organizers of the partnership are currently accepting applications for a limited enrollment for the free media camp. Twenty-four students will be selected to participate during two 10-week sessions (12 students each) scheduled to begin in early March upon completion of interviews, according to producer/director Bill Duke and EYM Founder/CEO Ms. Angeles Echols. EYM will host all sessions at its mid-Wilshire Blvd. offices. Bill Duke’s Youth & Media Boot Camp is a specially-designed course to expose and prepare gifted high school students to the multi-disciplines of new and converging media, including film and video production, the business of virtual worlds, video game development, animation, financial literacy and entrepreneurship. A staff of media experts, producers, directors and guest lecturers will be featured during the program. “We are excited to join forces with Bill Duke, one of the top film & TV directors, producers and mentors to young people in the performing arts industry, who will spearhead an incredible program for these special students,” said Ms. Echols.
