The Vesper Choir of University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) will perform in concert on Sunday, March 25 at 4 p.m., at Grant A.M.E. Church, 10435 South Central Avenue in Los Angeles.

"This appearance headlines the choir's West Coast Tour, which includes stops on Nevada and California. Alumni of UAPB, friends and family from Arkansas, and supporters of HBCUs are encouraged to support this fundraising event," said the Rev. Dr. Vernon S. Burroughs, host pastor.

"This 65 to 70 member select ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Michael J. Bates, Professor of Music, is nationally recognized among historically Black colleges and universities for its diverse repertoire and excellent performances," said the Rev. Dr. Clyde W. Oden, pastor of Bryant Temple A.M.E. Church where the choir will later perform.

In addition to the gala concert, the Vesper Choir will also make appearances at Bethel A.M.E. Church and two local high schools.
