12th Annual LuncheonWomen After God's Own Heart, hosted by Co-Pastor, Debra Cook, will hold their 12th Annual Luncheon on March 17, 11:00 a.m. at the Doubletree by Hilton Hotel in Torrance/South Bay, located at 21333 Hawthorne Blvd. Torrance, CA., First level/Main Ballroom.
Brenda Underwood, First Lady of Emmanuel Bible Church, Los Angeles will be guest speaker. Born in Los Angeles, California, she accepted Christ at a very early age. She is a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Mrs. Underwood is anointed and purpose driven about fulfilling the vision for the Kingdom of God. Having demonstrated her gifts, she was licensed to minister in music and the gospel ministry in January 2009.
As a mighty woman of God, her administrative abilities demand order and proper kingdom protocol. First Lady Brenda Underwood is compassionate, unbiased, receptive and humble in caring for the people of God. She currently serves as the Minister of Music at Emmanuel Bible Church, and works closely with the Woman-to-Woman Ministry. She believes in putting Biblical faith and prayer into practice. Her publication, "Submitting to the Will of God" is available at Blurb.com. She has been married to Pastor George D. Underwood, of the Emmanuel Bible Church for twenty-six years. They reside in Baldwin Park, California with their daughter, Brenae'.
The luncheon event will also feature author, Ruthell Cook-Price, who will introduce her new book "Ocean of Smiles, Stream of Tears." The former "Chicken Soup for the Soul" contributor has written her own personal memoir on the ebbs and flows of her life.
She recently retired from the banking industry after serving twenty-seven years in Corporate Giving and served as church administrator in Los Angeles for thirty-five years.
