A musical salute honoring African American achievements takes place on Saturday, February 25, at 5 p.m., at Price Chapel A.M.E. Church, located at 4000 West Slauson Avenue in Los Angeles.
The annual program, entitled ‘A Night of Black History,' features an evening of spirituals, hymns and praise dancing by Price Chapel's Music Ministry and the Voices of Price.
"This will be a celebration unlike any other as we rejoice and glorify God for His abundant blessings on African Americans throughout our sojourn in this country," said Pastor Cedric V. Alexander.
"Our program will be directed by the anointed and creative team of Minister of Music Carl Johnson and Sunday School Superintendent, the Rev. Don Wallace.
"In addition, dramatic presentations depicting significant moments in our struggle for civil rights will be performed by Price Chapel's Sunday School youth and adult members as well," noted Pastor Alexander.
"We welcome the greater Los Angeles community to come fellowship and celebrate an evening of our rich history."
Also, a light dinner reception will be held following the program, added Brother Johnson. For more information, contact the Price Chapel church office at (323) 296-2406.
