New Antioch Honors Pastor & Lady Lewis

The members of the New Antioch Church of God In Christ invite the community to the Pastor and Wife Appreciation Service honoring Pastor Jeffrey and First Lady Floetta Lewis. 

The celebration will be held on Sunday, September 9, at the 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. worship services of New Antioch located at 7826 South Vermont Avenue in Los Angeles.

The keynote speaker at 8 a.m. is Dr. William Hundley, pastor of the Bethel Miracle Church of God in Christ in Long Beach.  Pastor Xavier Thompson of Southern Missionary Baptist Church in Los Angeles will be the guest preacher at the 11 a.m. service.

During the Appreciation Service, tributes to the Pastor and First Lady will be presented, the liturgical dance and flag teams will perform, and the New Antioch Mass Choir will provide the music.    The sermonic soloist will be gospel artist Cynthia Simons.

Bishop Charles E. Blake appointed Elder Jeffrey M. Lewis as senior pastor of New Antioch in January 2006, following the retirement of his father, Dr. James A. Lewis, Sr. 

“Pastor Lewis is an extraordinary leader.  Since his appointment, the church has experienced tremendous growth,” said Mrs. Karen Freeman, coordinator of the Appreciation Service Committee.
