Will.i.am and Tim McAfee Lewis
‘The Gospel According to Tim McAfee-Lewis,' a concert to benefit The Kierrah Foundation, will be held Sunday, Feb. 19, at 6:30 p.m. at Agape International Spiritual Center, 5700 Buckingham Parkway, in Culver City.
All concert proceeds benefit the foundation. The concert will be recorded live. The event also will include a tribute to the late music icon Whitney Houston featuring Sabrina Johnson, singing ‘I Love the Lord' and 13-year-old Mimi Sledge singing ‘The Greatest Love of All.' Founded in 2004 by Brandy Sanders and her late husband, Stanley Sanders, The Kierrah Foundation is a multilevel support system for young women who age out of the foster care system without family or friends.
McAfee-Lewis, who serves as assistant director of the Agape International Choir, has recorded for Island Records, Sony BMI, Capitol Records and Geffen Records. "I have many, many relatives who have gone through the foster care system. I know their plight. So this program is very near and dear to my heart," McAfee-Lewis said. "I am a great fan of the music and ministry of Tim McAfee-Lewis and am honored to have his concert benefit our organization," said Kierrah Foundation Executive Director Sanders. In addition to McAfee-Lewis and Johnson, the concert will feature the Agape Love Ensemble, the Los Angeles Inner City Mass Choir, and singer/songwriter Brenda Lee Eager. Also performing will be singer/songwriter Nailah Porter and Madeline Thompson and the legendary Clara Ward Singers. The world-renowned Agape House Band will accompany the vocal artists. Special guests include McAfee-Lewis' mother, Mrs. Emma McAfee-Davis, and his sister, Neomi McClendon. General admission is $20; V.I.P. tickets are $35 and include the red carpet and reception. Tickets are available at kierrahfoundation.org, in the Quiet Mind Bookstore at Agape International Spiritual Center, or by calling (213) 309-9900.
